As someone who loves to read blogs and follows quite a few lifestyle influencers on social media, you would think I would have memorized the script on writing a great lifestyle post. Unfortunately, when I started writing one of those post I felt very disingenuous.

And I suspect many bloggers starting out do. I’m supposed to show you all the shiny and sparkly parts of my life. To share only the made for TV moments. But I’m here to show you real-life. Days where my blood sugar has been absolute garbage for no other reason besides my pancreas decided today would be a good day to revolt. Or days where I could have been all wifey and romantic with my husband but instead, I’m wearing a hole-y t-shirt and pajamas at 6:30 p.m.

Sure, sometimes I do all those Instagram worthy things. But often, you’re looking at a walking quarter-life crisis. And so what? Who says my lifestyle blog can’t be a real-lifestyle blog.

So let’s get down and dirty with how things really are.
